Analyst Mentions Ravens, Dolphins Among AFC Elite

After two games, the AFC hasn’t shaped up the way many thought it would.

The New York Jets lost Aaron Rodgers for the season due to a torn Achilles and are now 1-1 and likely to miss the playoffs.

The Kansas City Chiefs are 1-1 and have some real question marks, while the Cincinnati Bengals are 0-2 and are dealing with a re-aggravated calf injury for quarterback Joe Burrow suffered on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens are the only teams in the conference that are 2-0, and they’re looking excellent.

Former NFL star wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson said on “Undisputed” that both squads are currently the class of the AFC.

The Ravens defeated the Bengals, 27-24, on Sunday, and Johnson pointed out how good quarterback Lamar Jackson — who went 24 of 33 for 237 yards and two touchdowns — looked.

Their running game is looking excellent, while rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers is looking like a stud.

He had 62 receiving yards on four catches versus Cincinnati, and on the season he has 140 yards.

Veteran wideout Odell Beckham Jr. may not look like his old self, but he has 66 yards through two contests.

Meanwhile, Miami’s offense has been downright explosive so far, and it ranks third in points and tops in total yards right now.

They defeated the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football in Week 2, and although their running game isn’t too dynamic, Raheem Mostert gave them 121 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

Even without star cornerback Jalen Ramsey, it’s starting to look like the Dolphins will keep themselves in the AFC title discussion moving forward if they don’t have any other significant injuries.

Unfortunately for them, Jaylen Waddle took a hard hit late in Sunday’s game and is now in concussion protocol, which puts his status for Week 3 in question.
