The NFL season hasn’t even started, but multiple teams are already “on the clock.”
Several teams will be back in the mix to select a quarterback in the 2026 NFL Draft, and the class looks stacked with talent at the position.
For months, people have raved about Arch Manning and, to a lesser degree, Drew Allar.
Now, LaNorris Sellers has joined that list.
Analyst Jordan Rodgers recently compared Sellers to a No. 1 overall pick and NFL MVP.
“Man, I saw flashes of Cam Newton. The big, physical, strong runner that can run through you and run by you, I thought was so impressive. He can change the game with his feet. That’s why I think he’s put himself in the conversation of being a top 10 pick next year,” Rodgers said.

The similarities in their games are evident, although Newton seemed to be a more polished passer coming out of college.
But even if Sellers isn’t the type of prospect Newton was, some analysts believe he could put himself in consideration for a top-three spot in the draft.
He’s athletic, strong, fast and can make plays with his legs.
He needs to clean things up in the pocket, but the athleticism and physical tools are there.
Some analysts believe the race for the top pick will be as hot as the race for the Super Bowl this season, with a franchise QB being the prize.
With multiple teams clearly needing one, expect to hear much more about Sellers in the months to come.
