Larry Muyang is set to make his return to the PBA after Converge acquired his rights from Phoenix as part of a three-team trade with NorthPort.

The PBA approved the deal, which paved the way for the FiberXers to get Muyang, whom the league banned indefinitely after playing for the Pampanga Giant Lanterns in the MPBL while under contract with the Fuel Masters.

Sources said Muyang’s suspension has been lifted, perhaps an indication that the Letran product had already apologized to the league.

Both Converge and Phoenix are actually far from done doing business after the two sides agreed on swapping their first-round picks before Sunday’s Rookie Draft.

Converge is set to acquire Phoenix’s second pick in exchange for the No. 8 selection and forward Bryan Santos. The deal is still being reviewed by the league.

Phoenix, on the other hand, got Nelle, who is coming off a solid rookie campaign with NorthPort, manning the point guard position.

The Batang Pier let go of Nelle while the sale of their franchise to Pureblends Corporation is still being reviewed by the PBA.

NorthPort received Ambohot, seldom-used since being selected third overall by Converge in 2022. He had signed a one-year extension recently before the trade was pulled off.

Muyang joins Converge after spending four seasons with Phoenix.
