Jahdae Barron Makes Jersey Number Change

Denver Broncos fans can finally order their Jahdae Barron jerseys.

The first-round pick from the 2025 NFL Draft has officially chosen a number.

According to Cory Mose, the rookie cornerback will wear No. 23.

Barron wore No. 12 throughout rookie minicamp and training camp.

But with final roster moves and some players failing to make the cut, he had a chance to switch to his former number at Texas.

It was previously worn by running back Audric Estime, who was waived.

Barron looked solid in training camp and the preseason, which is the expectation for a first-round selection.

Even so, he will have his work cut out to take the field this season.

Reigning Defensive Player of the Year Patrick Surtain II is a lock to start, with Riley Moss opposite him and Ja’Quan McMillian in the slot.

Barron will most likely be the first cornerback off the bench, with Kris Abrams-Draine as the other option on their 53-man roster.

Head coach Sean Payton and defensive coordinator Vance Joseph have raved about Barron’s potential as a nickel cornerback, even though he also had plenty of experience lining up outside in college.

The Broncos have more than enough resources to be one of the top defenses in the league, and Barron likely will get a chance to make an impression at some point.
