Former Player Turns Heads With Bold AFC West Prediction

 

The Kansas City Chiefs have dominated the AFC West for a while now.

It’s been almost a decade since another team won the division.

However, that streak might finally come to an end.

Talking on the NFL Network, former linebacker Manti Te’o predicted that the Denver Broncos will win it this season.

“For the first time in 10 years, the Denver Broncos are your AFC West champs! Sean Payton will lead the Denver Broncos and that nasty defense to the AFC West championship, the first time in 10 years,” Te’o said.

That might not be as hot a take as some people think.

The Broncos were arguably the best team in the preseason, and Payton has gushed about his improved roster.

Bo Nix looked like a legitimate starting quarterback as a rookie, and they have one of the best defenses in the game.

They can rush the passer, force turnovers, and keep offenses out of the end zone.

Granted, they might lack weapons in the passing game, with Courtland Sutton as the only proven wide receiver.

Yet, they should be more efficient running the ball with newcomers J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey.

Of course, they have to prove it on the field, and the AFC West will be one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL.

The new-look Las Vegas Raiders could be in the mix for a playoff spot, and the Los Angeles Chargers should be even better in year two under head coach Jim Harbaugh.

Three playoff teams could come out of the AFC West, and whoever is on top will be a serious Super Bowl contender.
