Chris Simms Reveals Honest Thoughts On Ravens, Bills Matchup

The 2025 NFL season is almost here, which means the clock is ticking for fans and analysts to make their predictions.

There are a lot of matchups to look forward to in Week 1, but one game is getting a lot of the buzz.

The Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills are squaring off on “Sunday Night Football,” a contest that’s generating anticipation given the caliber of the teams.

Baltimore and Buffalo have been among the league’s best for the past several seasons, and one of them will instantly get a leg up on the other.

Media members seem to be split on the outcome, but analyst Chris Simms made his feelings very clear on “Up & Adams.”

“The Ravens are going to be motivated by the game they lost last year in Buffalo. They dominated that football game and lost the game, and didn’t play their best football in a big moment. If you go back and watch that game, Baltimore never got stopped, they just stopped themselves. … They did whatever they wanted. I think they are clearly a better team than the Buffalo Bills. Plus, they’re gonna be [angry] and motivated about what happened last year,” Simms said.

Despite that narrow loss at Buffalo in the AFC Divisional Round, Simms believes the Ravens are significantly better than the Bills.

Josh Allen is coming off an MVP season, so the Bills arguably hold a slight edge at quarterback over Lamar Jackson, but that could be one of the only positions where the teams are close.

The Bills have struggled to retain receiving talent, and their rushing attack pales in comparison to what Derrick Henry and Jackson provide for the Ravens.

Plus, Buffalo’s defense has been vulnerable in recent seasons, which could be a problem against an offense as potent as Baltimore’s.

It should be an entertaining matchup for fans, given the talent and atmosphere that will be on display.
