The Milwaukee Bucks will be undergoing a few changes this summer, adding and losing some talent in hopes of rebounding after a disappointing postseason.
They secured rookie Tyler Smith at the recent NBA draft and now Michael Scotto has revealed information about the young star’s contract.
The Bucks signed Smith to a four-year, $7.9 million deal that is fully guaranteed for the first two seasons and then non-guaranteed for the third year, with a team option for his final season.

Smith was a breakout star with G League Ignite last season and was selected as the 33rd pick in the 2024 draft.
He is coming to a Bucks team that is in transition and hoping for more.
Last season saw them acquire Damian Lillard, hire and fire a new head coach, and then bring in Doc Rivers to lead them.
This was followed by a tough stretch of games in the second half of the season and some ill-timed injuries that took them out of contention in the playoffs.
All in all, it was a very disappointing season for Milwaukee.
With that being said, most people agree that they could be one of the best teams in the East again if Rivers is able to manage the roster and the players stay healthy.
Because he is a young rookie, it’s unclear just how much time on the floor will be reserved for Smith.
In all likelihood, he probably won’t play much.
But if he impresses and makes an impact, Smith could work his way into the rotation and help the Bucks return to dominance.
