Long before the start of the NFL season, it seemed almost a lock that the Jacksonville Jaguars would run away with the AFC South Division.

They had the best roster, were the reigning divisional champions, had the easiest schedule, and looked at least one step ahead of the other three teams.

They looked the part early in the campaign, winning on the road and challenging winning teams.

But after losing five of their last six and letting the divisional title slip right through their fingers, what once seemed like a certainty isn’t anymore.

According to NFL analyst Craig Carton, the Jaguars have now put themselves in a difficult position.

Talking on The Carton Show, he claimed that there are now question marks about HC Doug Pederson, QB Trevor Lawrence, and the franchise itself.

“The Jaguars have a question mark. Doug Pederson is now a question mark. Trevor Lawrence, now a question mark. The future of that franchise is now a question mark,” Carton said.

Now, you have to have these question marks because of the way they crumbled under pressure and failed to take care of business when it was their division to lose.

Lawrence was pretty banged up at the end of the season, but he didn’t look like a better player than he was in his first year with Pederson.

The potential and talent are clearly there, and he did have some impressive plays and games, but he didn’t build from last season’s success, which is what one would expect from a young QB, let alone a former No. 1 selection.

The Jaguars shouldn’t panic by any means, but they need to address their issues before they get even more out of hand.
